Smudging Bundles with Calendula

The act of burning sage or other holy plants, a ritual known as smudging, has been practiced for centuries to cleanse spaces, individuals, or objects of negative energy. This ceremony has a deep-rooted history.

White sage is often used to purify a space, person, or item from negative influences, and is celebrated for its cleansing, purifying, and safeguarding qualities.

Smudging with rosemary is said to bring clarity and peace of mind, as well as strengthen one's spiritual connection. Rosemary is acknowledged for its stress-relieving properties and its ability to boost focus and mental acuity in the nervous system. Moreover, it is believed that burning rosemary can ward off bacteria and viruses, thus serving as an excellent means of air purification. Historically, rosemary has been a staple in rituals, believed to bestow strength, fortune, and well-being upon its practitioners.

Calendulas are employed in cleansing rituals, to invoke love, prosperity, abundance, and divination, and to honor the deceased and celebrate solar deities.
